Dr. Dre to Finally Release Long Awaited Album Detox in 2011

Finally, Dr. Dre will be releasing Detox. After almost 10 years of waiting, with the album being pushed back numerous times it is coming out. It should be out in late 2011 according to the Doctor himself. If that's not enough for you, an unfinished version of the song "Under Pressure" featuring Jay-Z leaked its way onto the Internet. We should hear the finished version of "Under Pressure" sometime next month.

Detox is said to be Dr. Dre's masterpiece, fans have been waiting for this album for the past 10 years, ever since Dr. Dre released the multi-platinum album "Chronic 2001" in 1999. Detox was supposed to come out last year after Eminem's album "Relapse" in 2009, although the album got pushed back yet again. All sources now however, indicate that the album is finished and is coming out in 2011. The albums first single "Under Pressure" was originally scheduled to be released in May, but due to Eminem's "Not Afraid" and the release of "Recovery" ahead of schedule, Dre's single got pushed back.

For years there has been rampant speculation and continual speculation about this album. Many people have said they would be on it, many have said it is finished, many have said they have heard it. All that speculation can be put to rest as Dr.Dre himself said that Detox should be out in September or the beginning of fall in 2011. Never has an album been so anticipated, and never has it been pushed back so long. An album that took 10 years to complete, an artist masterpiece. Detox is to be the doctors final album.

He even made a comeback on Eminem's "Relapse" last year rapping on two tracks "Old Times Sake" and "Crack a Bottle" giving hope to fans that the Doctor has returned. Regarding the recently leaked song "Under Pressure" Dre had this to say "I want to set the record straight for everybody who's been waiting to hear my music. The song that's out on the Internet is an incomplete song that I'm still working on. When it's ready, you'll be hearing it from me."

In conclusion, Dr. Dre has said that his new album Detox will be out in fall 2011. An incomplete song named "Under Pressure" with Jay-z has also leaked onto the Internet with the official finished product being delivered next month. With Dr. Dre saying himself that the album will be out in 2011 and the single on the way, it has to have fans excited.
