Invitations
The fist impression your guests will receive about your party comes from the invitation. Dr. Seuss invitations must rhyme, but this does not have to be difficult. Stick with a few simple lines in the beginning. The directions and specifics can be in plain text, or the creative types can rhyme the entire invite.
Remember to use bright paper and fun fonts for this party initiation. You can print the invitations out and use clipart from famous Seuss books. You can also print out images and glue them to hand written invitations made on heavy paper.
Decorations
Decorating for your Dr. Seuss birthday party is a lot of fun. Common colors for this theme are red, white, turquoise, black, green, and yellow, but Dr. Seuss used a variety of colors and the brighter the better. Streamers should also be hung all over to add a whimsical touch.
A fishbowl with a single goldfish makes a great centerpiece. Another fun decoration idea is balloons; Dr. Seuss is known for the use of balloons in many of his books. You can add a special touch to the balloons by decorating them with markers. Tablecloths in bright colors and pinwheels add a fun touch. Feathers, pompoms, and sparkly confetti can be placed on tables and counters as well.
More Dr. Seuss decorations can be made easily and inexpensively. Try covering old coffee hands with red and white paper. Then place a big red circle on the bottom with glue. These hats can be set all over the home or hung from the ceiling.
Printing out characters from Seuss' books is another fun way to decorate. Hang these images all over the home. You can also use a simple fish template to create red and blue fish, cut them out, and hang them around the home as well. Placing Dr Seuss books on tables and counters will also make this party more interactive and fun.
These homemade Dr. Seuss party invitations and decorations are easy and fun to make. Try them for your party.
