If you are ready to try out the Cookie Diet, then you may be a little concerned about the price of purchasing those specially formulated cookies. The exact recipe for these cookies is a secret that Dr. Siegal keeps to himself. All we know about the cookies is what we see on the label of the product which claims to have 150 calories, 23 grams of carbohydrates, 4.5 grams of fat, and 5 grams of protein. 1 T grated orange rind or 2 tsp

orange extract

3 cups whole-wheat pastry flour*

1 T baking powder

1½ tsp baking soda

1 cup nonfat dry milk

2½ cups oats (quick-cooking or old-fashioned)

1 cup nuts

1 cup raisins

1 cup ground fl ax seed (opt)
