The story starts off with a scary scene of demons and hell from the past. It denotes a demonic soul snatcher and a seance that sets the stage for the rest of the movie. The beginning is somewhat misleading due to the fact only one of the starting characters shows up in the movie. However, it is relevant to the rest of the story.
They fast forward into present time, where we meet our main characters. The leading lady plays a mortgage officer for a bank. She is confronted by the antagonist while at work. She disproves a loan extension for an old lady. The horror begins here, as a curse is placed on her.
As the story progresses you witness the fight for survival. A moral question is raised here. Is it right or wrong to not help someone when you are able? The decision the main character has made will affect the outcome of her life. There is a surprising twist when she again tries to confront the old lady.
The rest of the movie is based on how she will overcome the curse she has been given. Will she survive? Will she get even? How does she go about her plans? You will have to watch to find out.
In the end, I give this movie two thumbs up. It may not be for everybody, but it made me think. It also made me laugh and jump at the same time. It was a joy to watch. Not a serious movie or brilliant writing, but it was very well done.
