As an avid game lover, especially games that really make you use your brain, Dream Chronicles far surpasses any game that I have ever played. Dream Chronicles is a "search and find" game, but not like any other game in that genre. This one is different. The story line is good, has great graphics and pleasant background music, though it's mysterious at the same time. Although this game can be played by anyone, I would think this is designed more for adults or maybe a teenager that has a lot of patience and deductive reasoning to solve the puzzles themselves.

In the game play, you look for little jewels along the way, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends. There is no list to tell you what to look for. You have to figure that out for yourself. The small town of Wish was put under a sleep spell, Faye's husband has disappeared, her child is sleeping under Lilith's spell. Faye has to find her husband and solve a multitude of very challenging puzzles along the way.

The first obstacle is the frozen door in Faye's bedroom. She can't get out......or can she. You collect the little jewels and search for a way to get the frozen door to open. Find the clues and objects and you will open the door. No, I'm not going to give it away.

Each different level has it's own special challenges. Level one is fairly simple, but as you continue through the game, the puzzles you need to figure out get tougher and tougher.

When you are searching for objects, they won't be where you can easily find them. That is a challenge in itself. Sometimes you have to dig for an object, or put objects together that you find so that you can continue to go to the next level. Sound also plays a very important part in solving some of the puzzles. So be sure you have your volume loud enough that you can hear subtle changes. Sometime a change in the sound will happen if you solve a specific puzzle and other changes may be when you put an object where it belongs.

Level 15 and the last level took the longest for me to solve. Matter of fact, Level 15 was almost my downfall until I learned to LISTEN. Besides finding all the little jewels, the various objects that are hidden, you have to put a sign together, then figure out how to get it to work...All this time, you are in the DARK. Once you figure the sign post puzzle out, you have two more to solve before you can go anywhere. Truly a challenge.

I don't want to give away any more of this game, but I will say that if you made it through Level 15, don't think the challenge is over by a long shot. It's not. The puzzles are very tricky from here on out.

In closing, this is, again, one of THE best games I have ever run across. The writers, programmers, designer and everyone that helped make this game did a magnificent job. I hope that Dream Chronicles is just a forerunner of more good things to come from this company.
