Dream of Dublin

Gretchen Lee Bourquin
Today, I Dream of Dublin
Where the hillside glimmers green
All the pubs are paved in gold
And the bathrooms all stay clean

Where everyone is dancing
And the Guiness never drains
Yes, that's the land of Dublin
And I'm going there someday

I dream of fairest Dublin
Where the Leprechauns roam free
And they carry 'round their pots of gold
Especially for me

One will take me to his castle
And I'll be his bonny lass
He will suddenly grow taller
And I'll trade my coins for cash

Perhaps my dreams are fancy
And I go a bit too far
Pour another Guiness
Tonight, I say they are

So fill my bowl with Irish Stew
And coat my ears with Yeats
For I believe in destiny
And Dublin is my fate
