As I lie here awake,
Unable to sleep,
I imagine a world where
Hunger and poverty
Are a think in the past,
And children in Africa
No longer have to fear
The rain or run from the cold.
When standing by the ocean,
Or maybe even a lake,
The water is clear and air is fresh.
Everyone can wake up to sunshine,
And birds sing peacefully.
People dancing in rain
And are no longer chained
By the raptures of life.
Fear and terror no long live
When you lie down at night,
Everyone can lay at ease
And not fear tomorrow's unknown.
Unable to sleep,
I imagine a world where
Hunger and poverty
Are a think in the past,
And children in Africa
No longer have to fear
The rain or run from the cold.
When standing by the ocean,
Or maybe even a lake,
The water is clear and air is fresh.
Everyone can wake up to sunshine,
And birds sing peacefully.
People dancing in rain
And are no longer chained
By the raptures of life.
Fear and terror no long live
When you lie down at night,
Everyone can lay at ease
And not fear tomorrow's unknown.
