Dreaming About Clothes

Dreamland!

Dina Montgomery
Our dreaming minds can tell us many things about ourselves. What we are worrying about, what we mostly think about and what is most important to us. So dreaming about clothes, what could this possibly mean?

Dreaming about clothes can symbolize the way we make of ourselves and how we appear to others.

If you are dreaming of new clothes, this may symbolize that you are trying to make a new image for yourself. You feel that you are looking your best and your reputation has improved somehow in your waking life.

If you are dreaming of old, tattered, ripped, or dumpy clothes, this may suggest that you feel insecure about the way you look in your waking life, or you may feel insecure about how you look or seem to others in your waking life.

If you are dreaming of missing some clothing in public such as pants or underwear, or you may be wearing your pajamas, this may signify that you feel self-conscious about something you did in your waking life. If in your dream, nobody notices, this may suggest that you feel that you have gotten away with something. If nobody seems to notice you are missing clothing, sometimes this may suggest that you feel like a fraud in your waking life. You may feel insecure about your abilities; as if you have fooled everyone into thinking you are capable of more than you really are.

If you are dreaming of formal clothes such as a tuxedo or ball gown, you may be feeling more sophisticated or feel better-off than others in your waking life, or this may also suggest that you have the feeling of wishing that you felt more sophisticated and better-off.

If you are dreaming of a dress, this may suggest that you have a feeling of projecting a soft, feminine image to others. And this also applies to men.

If you are dreaming of a suit or boyish clothes, this may suggest that you are projecting a masculine image to others in your waking life. And this also applies to women.

I think my dreaming of clothes is a nightmare, seriously, I decided to clean out the closets today, and I had no idea my kids had stuffed so much into them, it is not even remotely appealing, my livingroom is now covered in clothes. Mostly things that will be going to a thrift store as my kids have outgrown these items.

After reading all these different interpretations of dreams, I'm sort of glad I don't remember any of them.
