Dreaming of a Life

Life like a Jail

JL
You just want to live, to be free.

You want to be happy,

and able to do what you want to do.

So tired of eating cheap foods.

All we need is steak (meat).

Is that to much to ask?

Oh wouldn't it be nice to taste

a great big fresh Lobster.

Shrimps in sauce.

Things that used to be so normal.

Where has it all gone?

Going on vacation,

seeing happy people in the sun.

Swimming in clear blue waters.

Having fun in a nice Hotel.

Eating diner in class.

Romance and friends.

No worries or sorrow's .

Just pleasure and happiness.

Loving one another.

Being happy for the others.

Encouraging each other.

No competition.

Excepting on another as we are.

What happened to our lives?

Where did all the good times go?

It seems to have turned into a jail,

somewhere along the road.

No more terrific diners,

No more happiness,

Nothing to say.

Only worries and sorrow's.

Trying to survive.

Doing everything possible to stay insane.

Money is worth nothing now a days.

Everything is too expensive.

Can't seem to afford the air that we breath.

It seems people have changed.

No more hope, no future dreams,

no love for one another.

Just more jealousy and wanting more.

Drinking to forget the pain of now.

Drinking to remember the passed.

The times we could have all we wanted.

When we could eat everything we wanted.

No worries or sorrow's,

no pains or regrets.

Just a peaceful life.

But, once again, the next day comes.

We wake up in our very own jail house room.

No food in the fridge.

No money in our pockets.

No more friends around us.

Alone once again.

A jail with rules.

Restrictions here and there.

More and more.

How much more taxes must we pay?

Life has turned into a jail.

Slowly but surly.

With no way to escape.

No where to go.

Europe is one, and our freedom is gone.

We all pay the price.

"Taxes and loneliness."
