Dreaming of the Military

Dreamland!

Dina Montgomery
Dreaming is such a natural thing and we all do it. For some it may be a good experience most of the time and for others, maybe not so much. Dreaming gives us a peek of what is going on in our minds, what we are really thinking, wanting, needing in our waking lives. Dreams just might give us a glimpse of what our heart truly desires. Dreaming about the military can mean numerous things, so let's take a peek.

If you have a dream that you are in the military and the experience is exciting or is interesting to you, meaning it's a good dream, then this might indicate that you crave more authority and structure in your waking life, as well as more adventure and the chance to really exercise your skills in more extreme situations.

If you have a dream of the military and it is a negative experience such as it being frightening or horrible, this may symbolize that you have felt subject to too much authority or structure recently in your waking life, or you have been exposed to disturbing experiences beyond your control.

If you have a dream that you are subject to military action, or you have a feeling that the military personnel is forcing you to do something that you don't want to do or go somewhere that you don't want to go, this could symbolize that you may be suffering from generalized anxiety about the world around you, or you may feel your life is not your own and you don't have control of what may happen.

If you have a dream that some sort of military action saves you from a bad situation, this could mean that you feel overwhelmed in your waking life now or because of something that will happen in the near future, and you wish some authority figure would come in and relieve the pressure and anxiety you are feeling by rescuing you. This may signify that you have the feeling that you are taking on too much responsibility in your waking life and you are feeling tired. You may need to reevaluate your priorities in your waking life and try to cut back if you can.

If you have a dream of the military and you are rebellious, this may indicate that you want to break out of the mold or the monotony of your current waking life. You may be feeling tired of being part of the herd and want to break free of it, and be on your own and do things according to your own rules.

Whatever scenario that you might be dreaming, it may just give you some insight of what you are feeling in your waking life. Happy Dreaming!

I dreamed that 3 black government car and a black limo went across the street to a neighbors house. It wasn't even my neighborhood. I remember saying "This isn't going to be good". They brought a white pressed paper cylinder into the house and drove away really fast. The next thing I knew, I was at a military funeral! My best friend is in the reserve and my son is going in next month.

I had a dream several years ago that I was at a military funeral. My son is a Marine and I was afraid it would be for him, but a couple of years after the dream, his grandfather, a World War II vet, died, so sometimes dreams can be premonitions, too. Interesting topic. I love dream interpretation.

I had a dream about Elvis turning into a vampire and chasing me through a forest a few weeks ago. Still not quite sure about that.
