Dreams for Peace in 2010

As the year comes to an end
There are dreams of peace
Whispered in the wind.

Dreams of no more wars
And no troops to send
To hell and back and then again.

Dreams of ending homelessness
And no more children in fear
Are echoing in our world don't you hear?.

Dreams of eradicating poverty
And hunger without an excuse
Of not having enough food or land to use.

Dreams of finding cures for
Life threatening diseases
Instead of cutting funds
As the government pleases.

Dreams of people suffering
Can't you here their plea
To one day live in peace and harmony.

So when you lift your
Glass to make a toast
Don't forget to say a prayer
For those who need it the most.
