Hidden in the rat race
And a land of weary adults
Each spring there is new hope
Even before the last of the snow melts
The ball glove is found and a game of catch begins
And a land of weary adults
Each spring there is new hope
Even before the last of the snow melts
The ball glove is found and a game of catch begins
The dreams
The hopes of youth
Ignite with a passion for the game
The pitcher warms up, the batter stretches
And it stirs the soul to hear the ump yell, "Play ball!"
To strive
And reach toward
A goal is perhaps even more
Important than reaching the target itself
And it motivates youth to achieve the impossible
The dreams
The hopes of youth
Might begin with baseball
But it doesn't have to stop there
Find your glove and go play catch with your kids.
