DREMEL Accessories Are This Year's Must Have Christmas Gift

Harold Dean Sink
Ladies and Guys, if you do not know what a DREMEL is then you will be amazed at what this tool can do. Of all the tools a guy could have - in fact ladies, too - a DREMEL can do so much for one around the house.

A basic DREMEL will come with #1 and #2 size Phillips and straight screwdriver tips. This is a compact, cordless electric screwdriver. Another version of it is so compact it can fit into your pocket.

Any woodcrafter would delight in the array of accessories that come with any of the DREMEL tools. There are tools and accessory kits that range from $40 on up to around $200.

The best accessories are the router adapter and router bits. These are great for that person who likes to work with wood. The available straight bits are 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4". The other bits are the chamfer, core box, corner rounding, piloted beading, keyhole and v-groove. You can use router bits for standard routers as long as their stems match the small diameter of the DREMEL tool. The router adapter even comes with a pivoting circle arm.

The most used of accessories will be the grinding and sharpening ones. They can sharpen everything from kitchen knives, sewing scissors to your lawn mover blade. You will save a lot of money when you invest in these favorable DREMEL accessories.

The grinding stones come in silicone carbide and aluminum oxide. Abrasive wheels and points will come in just as handy as the grinding wheels. An old hatchet would probably fare well after a little time is spent on bringing out its sharpness. There is even a chainsaw sharpening stone.

There are even drill bits ranging from 1/16" up to 1/4". You can buy them individually or as a kit.

Metalworking or engravers would enjoy the cutting disks and engraving points. The cutting and shaping wheel would be a must have along with the diamond wheel. Cutting bits are also sold in stores and online. The engravers range from size 105 up to 111. This just goes to show that a rotary DREMEL would be the most coveted tool at Christmas.

You would think that Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart or Target would be the stores with the most variety of DREMEL tools and accessories. Fry's Electronics has a wider variety of DREMEL products for sale in their stores.
