Dremel: The Tool for Everything

Richard Hill
One thing I can't do without is my Dremel. There are thousands of projects you can use a Dremel for. You can rout a keyhole for a shelf, refinish a chair back, install a baseboard corner, fix a furniture spindle, engrave a candle, make a personalized picture frame, etch glass and more. The possibilities are endless.

The Dremel name is a brand but also the name of their rotary tool. The tool features variable speed providing maximum control and precision, a permanent magnet motor for increased performance and consistent speed at all speed settings, an ergonomic, contoured style with a soft grip area for greater comfort and control, lightweight design for comfort during prolonged use, a separate on/off switch and speed control dial for the perfect speed every time, a lock-out collet button to prevent engagement of spindle lock when the tool is running, a "dove tail" feature for Dremel exclusive attachments, cool running ball bearing construction for smooth and quiet operation, a replaceable motor brush to extend the life of the tool and a 5 year warranty www dremel.com.

The Dremel comes in many different kits so that you have everything necessary. Some even come in their own storage case such as the 400 XPR Series that includes 70 attachments as well. You can also get corded and cordless Dremels for every type of need.

I do quite a bit of home improvement projects and the Dremel is perfect for things such as replacing a gutter corner, cutting a drainpipe and more. I even used it once to trim down some tire rims that were not fitting on my particular vehicle. It worked wonderfully.

You can get the Dremel at most any store including, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Ace, Sears, and online stores such as Amazon.com. Their site offers a community board, helpful hints, all product information and specs and even suggestions on projects you can do yourself using your Dremel. They have a convenient "find a store" area to see which store is closest to you.

There are endless amounts of attachments and accessories you can purchase for your Dremel although the sets that include attachments often have the ones you'll need without further purchase. There's even an attachment that some people use to trim their pet's nails! Like I said, the possibilities are endless. Without my Dremel, there's so many other tools I'd have to purchase for each individual project, with a Dremel, I have it all.
