The preceding is a list of actors, singers, television ministers, newscasters and talk shop hosts and the worlds sums them up in a name…Celebrity!

Teens and adults alike look at these celebrities and lust after their fame, fortune and fashion. I dare to say that a lot of parents have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars so that their teens and young adults can dress like many of their favorite celebrities. They buy the sidekicks, teros and blackberrys not because they have need of these PDA's, but because they say their favorite celeb carrying one. The power of the celebrity endorsement is incredible! Fifteen years ago, I dare to say that no one really knew that much about Hanes underwear, but now that stars like Michael Jordan and Kevin Bacon are wearing them, the brand is all the rage. Let's not forget what the hip hop generation has done for the white tees; in the matter of days every boy, girl, man and woman got themselves a nice crisp white tee to wear with their favorite pair of jeans or sweats.

No doubt those celebrity endorsements are keeping the economy alive and well, however, what we see is not always what we think. There have been many celebrities that have come forth to dispel the myth that they are spending countless dollars to stay in fashion. The following are the major sources of celebrity booty:

Agency trade shows/booths - These suites are typically set up plenty of free goodies for celebrities. You can pick up the latest coach handbag to the most exquisite cut diamond earrings. Most of these suites are set up for events such as the Canes film festival, The Academy awards, The Grammy's and the Oscars.

Designer Campaigns - Celebrities like Madonna, Christina and Demi have snagged themselves some wonderful clothing and accessories by becoming Versace's spokes models. J Lo, Uma Thurman and many others enjoyed the privilege of showing off Louis Vuttions latest handbags for the spring and fall and yes folks not only do they get to keep these merchandise they get paid a handsome fee to endorse them. Can someone say double pleasure!

Now, you're wondering how you can dress like your favorite celebrity, the answer is to shop cheap! News flash people, most celebrities shop at reasonable retailers such as Target, Old Navy, Gap, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Target, T.J Maxx and Marshall's in particular sell merchandise up to 70% off of the original retail prices. I have seen everything from Disney to Dolce and Gabbana merchandise sold at these retailers at rock bottom prices; from handbags to shoes to home décor to the very in style big sunglasses.

The other little tip that you might get from celebrities like Gwen Stefani and Lisa Rinna is to start designing and making your own fashions just for yourself. So what if you can't sew, there are a lot of places that will take your own design and sew your own line of clothing at a reasonable price. You will save loads of money and you will have one of a kind design that won't be found anywhere else, so no need to worry about showing up at that end of the year gala wearing the same dress as your boss's wife.

So folks, if you can't get the free stuff or you're not yet ready to become a celebrity endorser, remember to create your own style or shop cheap and still dress like your favorite celebrity!
