Drifting

April Higney
The winds drift in all directions,
a kiss of warmth passing through the air.
A beautiful change from the torrent, bitter,
and cold. A strength amidst the weakened
breeze, comforting in care.

The earth shifts in all directions,
trembling in its quake.
An emerging plant grows blissfully, across
the golden fields. The earth giving back what
it may take.

The water flows in all directions,
washing across the land. In rains, in lakes,
along the oceanside. A beautiful emotion,
holding the earth's hand.

The winds drift in all directions,
a kiss of warmth passing through the air.
A beautiful change from the torrent, bitter,
and cold. A strength amidst the weakened
breeze, comforting in care.
