Drink Water to Lose Weight

How One Simple Change in Your Diet Can Help You Lose Weight

No matter what the latest trend of dieting propaganda floating around happens to be, dieting really comes down to one straightforward simple rule: Consume less calories than you need to maintain your current weight.

There are many ways to alter your current diet to achieve this, but for the most part they leave us unsatisfied and craving more. The longer a dieter is sticking with a diet that makes them unhappy, the more stressed they get and depression can soon follow. The key with dieting is making your diet a permanent lifestyle change. Now, it will take more than just relabeling your intentions. It's not like a new title for your agenda is going to make things any easier. If you have the mindset of making this a permanent change, you can be honest with yourself about what changes you can handle.

The absolute easiest and most powerful health boosting change you can make to your diet is simply cutting out all beverages besides water. This will cut down considerably on your total calorie intake and will improve your skin and mental functions. Water is such a huge necessity for life, and cutting out unnaturally manufactured sugary drinks will go a long way in a much healthier and happier life.

According to the "Nutrition Facts" listed on a can of Pepsi, one soda contains 150 calories. A person who drinks two sodas a day can save themselves 300 calories a day simply by switching to water. That's 2100 calories a week! It's important that you understand that this applies to all drinks (I will give an exception for plain black morning coffee), so drinks from juice bars are absolutely banned. Cutting out a single juice bar drink can save you anywhere from 500-1000 calories per day, and that's between 3500 calories (one entire pound of fat) and 7000 calories (two entire pounds of fat) per week.

You may love your liquid pleasures but remember, dieting could be a lot more difficult and if this diet is too much for you to handle then you shouldn't even try to diet as it is obvious you are not willing to put in the effort to make it work. The gains of this diet greatly outweigh the sacrifice. If you want to lose weight, there is no diet easier to understand or easier to execute than this water diet.

I can't write this in the third person... I just can't. To do so would make me feel like a douche big enough to accommodate Madonna. My articles are a change of pace from what you can expect anywhere else. M...  View profile
