The first thing that you need to realize as a buyer is that yet, juice is by in large healthy, but can be brought to the unhealthy side by what is added into it. For instance if you see many types of juices and just pick one without reading you will fail to realize that they all have different sugar contents. I am not talking about the sugar you get from the fruit itself, I am talking about the sugar that the company has added into the mix after the fact. You have to understand that they want it to sell and they will add the sugar to make it sweeter so that more and more people will buy it. They are in the business of making money after all, While their juice by in large will be healthy and give you a lot of much needed nutrients, the added sugar is something you neither want or need at that particular moment in time.
The rule of thumb here is to steer clear of those juices that are high in sugar and look for those with no added sugars. They are out there and they are on store shelves, but you have to look for them and once you know what to look for it gets easier and easier each time. As long as you get the healthiest drink possible that's all that matters in the end after all. You shouldn't be fooled into thinking that the sugar is what makes the juice good however, because most fruit has natural sugar already in it, so the juice will be naturally sweet already.
The best way to make sure that you get the proper intake and the proper nutrients in the healthiest way of course is a juicer. This way you know all that is put into the juice and you know that no additives were put into your juice. The problem of course is the cost of the juicer, but if that is the case you can figure out a way of creating some sort of fruit cocktail or a way of juicing them buy hand that is effective in its own right. There is a big advantage to making your own juice and it is not limited to the fact that you can experiment and come up with the best combination for the best taste possible.
