Dripping Away
Early morning rises;
Red clouds on the horizon;
Off to work I go;
Riding on a crowded bus;
Worked so hard all day;
Dirt layers my skin;
Sweat pours from my brow;
My clothes cling to me;
I cannot wait to get home;
Pouring rain falls down;
Soaking me again;
I curse the sky;
But the sky is laughing;
I got home after three;
Stepped into a cleansing shower;
Soaping away the day;
Then I felt a chill;
It is not cold, but I am freezing;
I dress in a hurry;
But, it does no good;
I am stuffy; I cannot breathe;
And I realize that I have lost;
Defeated by nature;
My tissue box travels with me;
From room to room;
My head feel like an overinflated balloon;
Water runs from my eyes and my nose;
As I am coughing and sneezing through;
A ruined three-day weekend

Sounds like your weekend was similar to mine. Although, I didn' t have to work, I cannot wait to go. Hoping the events of last week do not once again unfold. Hope your week starts better come tomorrow.
They are the worst.
Oddly enough, inspite of my allergies, I don't have headcolds very often. If they come, it is usually in the summer or early spring. It has been two years since I have had one this bad. Thanks for reading, everyone.
