Dripping Heart Through the Rain of Love

Eddie Rodriguez
Fog crosses what reflected security.
The rain once poured over this symbol of selfless passion
Still gray clouds haunt green grass unable to separate future from past.
The heart's umbrellas rise to shield the expected flood that one knows will never come.
Rain checks cashed at the expense of broken dreams
Time heals all. Though the hands that read hours and minutes fail to hide the scars.
Always reminding the soul of bad memories that become all too real simulations
Breakups are the worse precipitation. Hurricane Cupid hides hope covers comfort and slays smiles.
Whilst a wonderful wind blows ... And a ray of sunshine, not bright enough to move coffee beans into cups of awakeness warms this uncertain soil and fertilizes a seed of Love.
