Drive Angry Film Review

Action-packed, Hard-hitting 3-D "revenge Thriller"

Leslie Jones McCloud
OMG. This is how I describe the action in the 3-D film Drive Angry starring Nic Cage. Okay, riddle me this: What does a bottle of Jack Daniels, a stogie, a naked blonde waitress and major gunfire have in common?

Nic Cage.

Now how all of that is put together is for you to go find out. I have never seen some of these scenarios before. Drive Angry is filled with original themes and dialogue. Nothing is well-worn. It will leave you breathless and laughing. The film was humorous, in that quirky, Nic Cage-y way. I giggled on the way home, thinking about some of the scenes.

The co-stars in the film complimented Cage's performance exquisitely.

Amber Heard is the bad-ass, female love interest. Billy Burke is the Devil, David Morse is the mortal and William Fichtner stars as the "Accountant." (fallen angel)

Milton, Cage's character, busts out of hell to save his baby granddaughter after his daughter and her husband were killed by some cultists led by Billy Burke's character--a devil-y, fallen angel, dark shadows-meets southern Baptist-preacher type. It was quite engaging. I think it was the hickish southern twang and all of that evil packed into black leather pants topped with a red satin shirt open to mid-chest.

The entire film was of a supernatural nature and was exhilaratingly creepy as heck, as the tale was spun by the brilliant writing team, Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer.

Go see it as it will not disappoint.
