Droid Phone Reviews: A Droid Phone Using Google Android OS Added to Verizon's Line
Droid Phone Reviews Are in and Glowing
Although I am an AT&T customer that covets an iPhone, I would at least consider switching to Verizon to use the Droid phone. My cousin has one - she was lucky enough to get it the first day it came out because of family ties she has to Verizon. As she showed me all the features that the Droid phone boasts, I couldn't help but drool.
The Droid phone can operate more than one app at a time. Although I think that eventually the Apple iPhone will allow you to do the same, the fact remains is you can't right now. With the Droid, you can open a map and a tip calculator at the same time - something that isn't possible with the iPhone.
In addition, the Droid phone has over 12,000 applications available. YouTube junkies will be able to get their fix as well, as the Droid allows you to watch YouTube videos on your handheld device.
Droid phone reviews all look good for Motorola's newest phone. Featuring a physical keyboard, the Droid phone can integrate with corporate email. This will make the Droid a significant alternative to the Blackberry.
I am not the only one impressed with the Droid phone. The LA Times calls it Verizon's "Best" phone. According to the LA Times, the Droid phone even integrates your phone book with your FaceBook contacts.
The LA Times wasn't as impressed with the iPhone vs. Droid comparison. They say "it remains several steps behind Apple's iPhone in many respects. Even though we ripped on Apple for leaving out the copy-and-paste feature for so long, there's something to be said about how it was finally implemented. It's simple and works incredibly well."
Furthermore, the LA Times isn't as impressed with the keyboard as I was. They claim that we have gotten used to the touch-pad keyboards on the iPhone and thus the physical keyboard doesn't add much more than just a little week.
Furthermore, they point out that the iPhone has over 100,000 applications available. While this is a monstrous total when compared to over 12,000 for the Droid phone, basic utilities should be covered by most apps. Furthermore, people will come out with apps as the Droid gains popularity.
I give the Droid phone a glowing review. You can head on over to your local Verizon kiosk and see for yourself.

So its judgment day today for Droid, was it? According to Cnet it was a little bit slow nonetheless a good start of droid, other "critiques" says otherwise. But I say, "Hell yeah! droid conquered US for a couple of hours today". We just hope that their ROI is profitable compare to the hunderds of thousand worth of ads they spend during the promotion period and err.. did I say, their impending "lawsuit" with AT&T too?
