Droplets

Morton Templeton
a small little droplet of rain gathers
at the very tip end
of the mighty elm leaf

Growing bigger
Reaching maximum capacity
Before the leaf releases it
To the rain sod ground

The droplet reflects
the clearing skies
sunlight filters
through, a mini rainbow
reflects the hopes

A world all its own
the droplet grows yet bigger
the leaf reaching downward
from the weight

As the droplet plummets
to the ground
carrying hope
rainbows leap
from within as the
the droplet gathers with others
for a promise to a
start of spring
