Fergie, who's real name is Stacy Ferguson, was at the airport waiting to board a flight to the UK when airport officials approached her. She had been falling and was unable to stand without the support of her friends.
When approached, the airport officials could tell that she was highly intoxicated. They immediately denied her boarding pass which made the singer extremely angry.
Fergie then began lashing out at the officials. However, she could not get full sentences out due to being so drunk. Her friends tried to control her antics but she kept ranting and raving at the staff. She finally settled down after a staff member threatened to call security if she continued.
She finally realized that no matter how angry she got and how much she complained, the airline was not going to let her board. So Fergie sat in the waiting area while her baggage was removed from the plane (this ended up delaying the flight by over an hour).
Her friends, who is also her fellow band-mates with the group Black Eyed Peas, was allowed to board.
According to another passenger waiting to board, "She was falling all over the place and had to be supported. She was in no state to fly. But when she was prevented from boarding she couldn't believe it. She was drunkenly ranting at staff but could barely string a sentence together. It was very embarrassing."
A spokesperson for the airline Virgin Atlantic stated:
"We can confirm a female passenger was denied for boarding as she appeared intoxicated and was therefore unsuitable for travel."
We can only assume that Fergie was allowed to fly to London after sobering up, but there is no confirmation on that.
Fergie has admitted in the past to being addicted to crystal meth, but now it appears that this diva has switched to something a little less powerful.
Another one of her well-known drinking binges didn't end up with her being banned from flying .. but she did urinate on stage!
While preforming on stage at the San Diego's Street Scene Festival in 2005, Fergie urinated on stage. When asked what happened, she informed the reporter: "I had a few drinks before the show, but I didn't think to go to the bathroom before we went on stage. We were jumping around...and my bladder just started."
One word of advice: Lay off the booze!

Post a CommentGreat title, I couldn't help but check out the article... seems Fergie is getting a skankilicious reputation!
I think Fergie may be retarded.
Robert Walden: Are you being serious, or sarcastic? I was wincing while reading this!
Good writing Michelle.
I hope she learns from this. We all make mistakes, it's what we do with them that counts.
I am a fan of Fergie, but if she wants to keep receiving the respect she's earned she need not follow this path. Excellent reporting and catchy title!
