One of the lovely things I like, besides the freebies, are the attention to detail by the staff and beautiful comfortable rooms. On a recent trip to St. Louis, I received a call welcoming me to the hotel and an offer to tell them if I need anything. I felt very comfortable and appreciated by the first call to my room. Even though my room was an economically priced room of a holiday special ($89), my room was clean, had two double beds, and the bathroom was stocked with fresh clean towels. There was not one speck of a problem within anything in the room.
As usual during the first night of the stay, you can go to the lobby area and receive free fresh popcorn, and daily cocktails between 5:30 pm to 7:30pm, which worked out fine for me on my recent trip. I was able to get me a free Apple Martini, then I left the hotel for dinner with a STL native. Upon my return to the hotel, I was surprise when I found myself slightly locked out of the building, but that was a security measure that was solved when I used my room key to unlock the door. I really appreciated this effort on the hotel's part to protect hotel residents. Also, the double locks on the doors at the rooms, also is a protective measure I appreciated.
Drury Inn Hotels also offers a great breakfast on each day you are at the hotel. The breakfast is a full breakfast of eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, cereals, and hot and cold beverages. You can also make your own waffles in a machine which is equipped with instructions. Not the traditional donut and juice breakfast most economically priced hotels offer. In fact, if you travel like I do, you might find that Drury is best than many of the cheaper hotels. If you don't like the free breakfast, perhaps being able to check your email from the comfort of your room on your laptop or going to the business center to use the printer and computer, will convince you!
Other conveniences like the free cable programming, and just knowing you are in a hotel with a down home feel will make you happy as you enjoy the rest of your visit. Drury Hotels are in specific cities, so log on to www.druryhotels.com to find one near you.
You won't find a more comfortable and relaxing environment. Enjoy this hotel. I rate it highly on cleanliness, great staff, safety, and amenities.
The best way to check out the hotel is to make sure you locate one near the attraction you want to visit. If you are visiting a major city, it's best to book yourself at one in the downtown area. However if you like to drive and don't have a problem in using your GPS or map quest, then choose a Drury Inn Hotel in the outlying areas, which may be even cheaper than the downtown locations. I have stayed in both areas - downtown and outlying with no issues whatsoever.
Whether you enjoy being in the city or the suburb, the hotel will be very comfortable, staff welcoming, and the stay will be very very enjoyable.
