Dryer Max Dryer Balls Product Review

Dryer balls are made by Dryer Max and they are two soft balls that are put into the dryer to help dry clothes faster and fluffier without separate products and chemicals. The retail price of the Dryer Balls is $14.99 but they can generally be found online for a cheaper price and they are available at Drugstore.com for $9.99 for two dryer balls.

Dryer Balls are two blue spiked balls that are made with PVC plastic material and are reusable. Dryer balls are made to be used without fabric softeners and dryer sheets to help cut down on the amount of chemicals used on clothing. Dryer balls are also hypoallergenic so anyone who is allergic and sensitive to other dryer products should be able to use these balls safely.

Other claims that are made by Dryer Max Dryer Balls is the ability to save money once you by them. Dryer Balls are able to save money because they are reusable but they are also supposed to dry clothes up to 25% faster than other products or no products at all. They are able to dry clothes better because the two balls are suppose to lift and separate the clothes in the dryer and prevent them from sticking to each other and keep the clothes moving.

Dryer balls are natural to use and also soften clothes and leave them looking and feeling fluffier when they come out of the dryer. They are also guaranteed to work for at least 2 years despite the heat of a dryer. Dryer balls also save time because there is little lint left in the dryer and they reduce the crumpling of clothes so that there is less ironing to be done.

Despite the claims made by Dryer Max they should not be used on delicate clothing such as lacy undergarments. On regular clothes after one or two uses some clothes appeared to be battered from the Dryer Balls and had threads that they were pulled out in some places. Other clothes appeared to be more faded than before they were put in the dryer. If a dryer door is not solid the tumbling balls will push the dryer door open which can waste time if someone is trying to dry clothes in a hurry. When clothes come out of the dryer they also have intense static cling that these dryer balls do nothing to help or prevent.

While dryer balls do dry some clothes quicker than dryer sheets, the saved time is usually less than 5 minutes. Clothes do however come out much fluffier, especially sheets, socks, towels and sweaters. Ironing can be reduced by the balls if clothes are taken out as soon as they are dried and hung up or folded and put away but the same can be said for clothes dried without dryer balls. They are fine to use on certain clothes but these dryer balls are not products that I would use for every cycle if I want to keep my clothes undamaged. Overall the Dryer Max Dryer Balls get 3 out of 5 stars.
