On the edge of the Dayton, Ohio's popular Oregon District sits the Dublin Pub at 300 Wayne Avenue. One of the more popular, night spots in the Oregon District, Dublin Pub is a wonderful place for a satisfying meal or a great hang out to have beers with friends.

The Dublin Pub is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 2:00 am, Saturdays from noon to 2 a.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to midnight. Dublin Pub is one of Dayton, Ohio's more popular night spots with live music on weekends.

One thing I especially like about the Dublin Pub is their large patio. The patio isn't crowded and on warm evenings, it provides a great view of Dayton, Ohio's Oregon District, a popular night spot.

Another nice feature of the Dublin Pub is that they have their own parking lot. Finding street parking in Dayton, Ohio's Oregon District can be tricky on the weekends so it's nice to not have to worry about parking. Also, the Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority offices are next door and many of the Dublin Pub's patrons use their parking lot as overflow on the weekends. Don't park their during the week though or you may get towed.

Dublin Pub features a surprisingly large menu with many classic Irish Pub types of food. They include favorites such as Bass battered fish and chips, Guinness Beef Stew, Beef Boxty and my personal favorite, the Bully Beef Shot. The Bully Beef Shot is an open face sandwich with mashed potatoes, roast beef and a generous helping of Guinness gravy. Dublin Pub's portions are considerable and their prices are extremely fair. Entrees range from as low as $8 to about $15.

Dublin Pub also features a nice selection of appetizers that go well with a drink. We had their Parmesan breaded fried pickles and they were delicious. They also feature a spinach artichoke dip, potato skins and salt and vinegar fries.

In addition to its traditional pub fare, Dublin Pub features a nice assortment of beers, a full bar and live music. A local cover band was playing the last time I was there. They were quite good and added to the relaxed atmosphere.

Speaking of the relaxed atmosphere, one thing I did notice is that the service was a little slow. The servers are all extremely nice, friendly and professional but we did wait a while to get our order taken and to get our food. Dublin Pub can be very busy on weekends as one of Dayton, Ohio's most popular weekend hang outs. As a result, it's definitely not a good choice if you're in a big hurry. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back which is delightful for a slow, relaxed dinner on the patio but not ideal if you need to rush.

The Dublin Pub has an interesting selection of desserts including one featuring banana cheesecake rolled in a tortilla and fried. While it sounded very tempting, the meal portions were so large that I didn't sample their desserts.

Dayton, Ohio's Oregon District is well-known for its restaurants and bars but I believe the Dublin Pub stands out as one of the best choices in town.
