Duggars Announce New Grandson, Promote New Book

The Duggars just added another member. This time it's a grandson, Michael James. Michael James was born June 15th to Josh and Anna Duggar from Springdale, Arkansas at their home. He is the second child of the couple who has a 2 year old daughter names MacKynzie. MacKynzie and Michael won't be without playmates and sitters. Grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, also from Arkansas, have 18 other kids at home ranging from 22 to 1. All the names start with J except for mom Michelle. The family stars on TLC's reality series "19 Kids and Counting".

The baby's birth was featured on a Father's Day episode"19 Kids: First Grandson". The couple chose to have both babies at home which set off controversy. The decide to have MacKynzie at home at the last minute sparking criticism. It has worked well for them both times but I can understand the concern. Viewers thought Anna was in more pain this time and she end up delivering on the toilet and with no pain killers. Michael James arrived at 5:55 pm weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces after seventeen hours of hard labor. The baby's name was supposed to be a secret but it leaked before the episode aired.

The couple had been traveling with the Duggar clan even though Anna wasn't far from her due date. It was amazing Anna could travel at this stage but they carried supplies just in case she went into labor on the bus. The couple experienced Niagara Falls in New York and they caught up with Anna's family, the Kellers, at a Christian conference in Nashville. They Duggars have been busy promoting their New book "A Love That Multiplies " all over the country on a four day toru with eight stops. The book goes into detail about their youngest Josie who was born at 24 weeks and the inside workings of their family. It has a special section on home schooling plus parenting tips, recipes, and resources. I guess everyone wonders if Josh will follow their parent's tradition. Josh said in an interview they would like 25 kids so look out Jim Bob and Michelle.
