Dumb and Funny Laws of Nebraska

Victoria Erin
These dumb and silly laws were found on www.dumblaws.com If they have been changed or abolished can only indefinitely be determined by the state or city in which they are found unless stated otherwise on the web page. If they are stated to have been removed then I wont post them.

1. It is illegal to fly a plane while drunk.

Well, duh!

2. If a child burps during church, his parent may be arrested.

Notice that they say "his parents" not "her parents".

3. It is Illegal to go whale fishing.

In Nebraska? How is that possible?

4. It is illegal for bar owners to sell beer unless they are simultaneously brewing a kettle of soup.

Lines from the movie 'Snow Dogs' starring Cuba Gooding Jr.:

Thunder Jack: Here, have some soup.
(Ted drinks from the flask handed to him then spits it out)
Ted: This isn't soup!
Thunder Jack: Well, there's soup in it.

5. It is illegal for a mother to give her daughter a perm without a state license.

You'll just have to pay the price for someone else to perm your daughters hair and watch them mess it up. The only good part, your daughter can blame you for literally doing it.

Lehigh:

6. Doughnut holes may not be sold.

But they are so good.

Omaha:

7. Sneezing or burping is illegal during a church service.

So, not only can your son not burp, you yourself can't burp and you certainly can't sneeze. Fact of the matter is that you can't control most bodily functions any where your may be.

8. A man is not allowed to run around with a shaved chest.

Don't have to worry about the surfers.

Waterloo:

9. Barbers are forbidden from eating onions between 7 A.

I don't know what this sentence is trying to convey because it isn't complete. Sorry to say, this is all of what it says on the website.
