Dumb Love: How to Love Someone with Your Heart and Mind

Everybody needs love. People need other people to support them and accept them no matter what they do. They places them into a position to grow and be happy with themselves. You hear stories about couples helping each other through tough times, or through college.

You hear about families being supportive of career changes and career failures. Some actions of love are without thought and immediate, but what is loving someone with your mind?

Everybody has heard of puppy love, head over heels in love, and crazy in love. People making drastic decisions about their loved ones. We all do it, sometimes against our better judgments. In love songs, we hear about not being able to live without someone. We hear about the romeos and juliets.

We even about people committing suicide because someone left them. The fact of the matter is someone who lives though their emotions will always be a little if no completely crazy.

I was in a relationship that wasn't healthy. I loved this woman but it seemed that things kept going astray. She dropped out of college to spend more time with me. She messed up her credit trying to plan a secret wedding without my knowledge. Crazy it seems.

I had to make a decision. Would I make a choice to stay with her because of my crazy in love side or would i make a choice to logically love her and move on until she could straighten out some of her trust issues. I made the choice to move on.

It hurt her and me but she ended up being a better mother and going back to school. She made the changes that showed her that she didn't need a man to take care of her, but that she could be a contributing member of an active relationship.

So to people out there who read these articles, make logical decisions about loving someone. You can be mentally sane and in love and the other half of you can be crazy in love. Just don't be crazy.
