DUMBO Film Shoot

DUMBO isn't just for artists and bohemian shopping anymore; it is also for "Violet & Daisy."

The feature film, starting Alexis Bledel, James Gandolfini, Saoirse Ronan, and Danny Trejo, began shooting on September 26 and has taken up quite a bit of the streets in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. The locations preferred by the crew seemed to be Jay Street and Plymouth Street.

"Violet & Daisy" is a film about two teenage assassins that accept a seemingly easy job and quickly get thrown off their target. The movie marks the directorial debut of Geoffrey Fletcher who recently won the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for "Precious."

Insiders describe "Violet & Daisy" as a new chick-flick buddy movie that is the would-be result if "Thelma & Louise," "Pulp Fiction," and "Superbad" got together and had a baby.

Though shooting in DUMBO happened just a day back at the end of September, we are sure that we might see some more shoots in the neighborhood in the near future.
