The Block by Block Water Street Reconstruction project has had its ups and downs. Some residents had their water shut off while construction was taking place and others have had to deal with the noise of the site.
According to the DUMBO Improvement District, there has been some steady progress for this project managed by the New York City Department of Design and Construction. As of this month, granite curbs have already been installed between Fulton Street and Main Street.
A trunk water main and updated sewer was placed between Main and Dock Streets. Additionally, a sewer was installed between York and Front Streets. Updates and delays on this project can be found on Twitter.
