After seeing numerous television commercials for the item, I purchased and consumed a Dunkin' Donuts Frozen Hot Chocolate a couple of days ago. The drink stayed cold while outside for at least two hours and it was fairly refreshing.

Taste / Flavor
When it comes to flavor, I'm somewhat undecided regarding my opinion of Dunkin' Donuts Frozen Hot Chocolate. When I first heard of this item, I was a little skeptical about the feasibility of the product being appealing to consumers.

For the most part, I really enjoyed drinking the Dunkin' Donuts Frozen Hot Chocolate. My usual beverage of choice now is diet soda. After my dentist said that the likely cause of the three cavities he recently filled was the regular sugar - sweetened soda that I drank lots of, I switched back to diet soda, which I used to drink.

That having been said, the sweetness level of the Dunkin' Donuts Frozen Hot Chocolate blew me away. Upon first sip, I noticed that the drink tasted mighty sweet. The transition from hot to cold with this item has been executed successfully and most people who try the item will probably enjoy it. It really does taste like hot chocolate, only cold, but to me, it is too sweet.

On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign this product a rating of eight.

Packaging
Dunkin' Donuts' Frozen Hot Chocolate is packaged in a clear plastic cup that features a snap on lid through which a straw can be used. The lid does fit tightly. At one point, I knocked over my frozen hot chocolate and almost none of it spilled out.

Overall Rating
All things considered, the Dunkin' Donuts Frozen Hot Chocolate is a nice change of pace from the usual lineup of summer beverages sold at chain stores and restaurants. A little too sweet for this reviewer's taste, it will probably be greatly received by the general public, although its price is not cheap. This is a limited time beverage that is available at Dunkin' Donuts stores across America.
