A special thanks to Tina Twito for coining the phrase "Repressed" as something more...
Dust Bunnies
We lie… in the shadows
Waiting for someone
To kick us up again
Quietly contemplating
A resurrection
We know will never come
Ignored, balked at
And out of favor like
Some lost wax technique
Or some erstwhile text
Long out of print that
Aches to be repressed
We lie… here dreaming
Dust Bunnies in the dark
Haunts of attics
Struggling on a web
So crudely spun
In the cloud

Post a CommentGreat work. I think we all feel like dust bunnies at some point. :)
Wonderful
What a great depiction of hopes & dreams. Excellent poem!
I haven't published for a time, and suspect the Dust Bunnies are beginning to cling. Perhaps time to don a mask, clear the attic, and release some thought to the cloud.
Poetry is changing, the times have cut a new path and form of it... unique feelings and structures...in which books are no longer hard covered but internet spun, and poetry is a web of wonderful and hum-drum...your poem and repressionist movement at the edge...where the best always linger:0) well done!
well written - thank you
Dust bunny personification. Cool!
I still have hope! Dust Bunnies unite! GRM!! :)
