DuWop Lip Venom: How Long Does the Plumping Last?

DuWop Lip Venom is without a doubt one of the best selling most popular lip plumpers on the market. But at anywhere from $13.00 to $16.00 and up for a miserly 0.12 oz of Angeline Jolie type plumping firepower, consumers may want to know just how much plumping staying power Lip Venom has behind it. So a web survey was done looking for actual user reviews of Duwop Lip Venom. Close to 1000 were found and read. So how much staying power does DuWop Lip Venom have? According to the survey the answer is not very much at all. The most stated time was 15 minutes. That's how long an application of DuWop Lip Venom will plump your lips before they recede down to normal size. But it's a little worse than that. One of the biggest complaints about DuWop Lip Venom was the tiny amount of product you get for the price. The bottle is so small that DuWop Lip Venom comes in what looks like should be a sample size.

From 109 actual user reviews at Amazon.com, 11 reviewers wrote something about how long the product's effect lasted. Three said 15 minutes, two said 10 minutes, and two more wrote something like, "a mere few minutes". 4 reviewers at Amazon thought it may have lasted up to an hour.

At TotalBeauty.com there were 29 user reviews for DuWop Lip Venom. None of the 29 users there specifically mentioned a time but 4 users made references implying how long the product's effect lasted. It wasn't hard to see what they were trying to say. "It wore off really quickly and you have to reapply it a lot", wrote one of the users. "It worked, although on a very temporary basis", said another.

At Makeup Alley there were a daunting 841 user reviews for DuWop's Lip Venom. After wading through each and every one of them here are the results. Of the 841 user reviews 51 wrote something about how long the plumping effect lasted. Here's what those 51 said

After wading through close to 1000 actual user reviews of DuWop Lip Venom it became apparent that trying the product and passing on useful knowledge based on that would be pointless. Those 1000 user reviews show that every woman's lips are different in size and sensitivity. Responses from the users ranged from "it didn't work at all", "a waste of money" to "it totally plumped them up", and "I love this stuff". But, there were far more users that thought the product didn't work at all, than those that felt it worked as a lip plumper.

The user survey done also showed that, ironically, DuWop Lip Venom is much more likely to work for women who already have generous, full lips. Especially if their lips are not sensitive to the spicy hot ingredients in Lip Venom, mostly cinnamon oil and ginger. For those with medium or thinner lips the Lip Venom was less likely to work at all. DuWop Lip Venom is supposed to work by drawing blood into the lips and making the blood vessels dilate. It's actually more of a swelling effect than a plumping. The DuWop Lip Venom oil is something that some women find stimulating and tingling. Some even mentioned that they love the feeling. For others with the most sensitive lips its a terrible burning sensation they can't wait to get off their lips. What was learned about Lip Venom wasn't all bad though.

A very healthy percentage user reviews mentioned that Lip Venom is their favorite lip gloss. This was true even for users who said DuWop Lip Venom didn't work as a lip plumper. One user wrote, "it's an adorable gloss", and that sentiment was echoed by many others.

During the study, one user reviewer was found who wrote about DuWop Lip Venom, "you either love it or you hate it", and that may be true, but even if you love it as a lip plumper it's likely it will only work for you for 15 minutes or less before you have to re-apply it.
