COLOR
Twilight Venom is an amazing blood-berry color can be divided as such. A light coat leaves you with a gorgeous wash of berry while multiple coats leaves you with a wonderful blood red. This is a stain, so you better be in love with the color you put on- it will be there for at least a day and a half. While the color is one of the prettiest ever, I cannot in a good conscience recommend this to Twilight's biggest audience: young teen girls. The color is very bold and even when played down, rather bright. I really wish they had made a color that could be universally worn by all Twilight fans, young and old. But I guess that would spoil the product idea.
FORMULA
Twilight Venom is marketed as the two worlds, human and vampire, mixing together. While this is a very cool concept, they made the color never truly mixes with the rest of the product. It is rather watery, which is expected from a lip stain, but actually goes on as kind of moisturizing. They also market it to look as if you have just bitten someone, blood dripping from your mouth. Kudos on the awesome concept, but the execution was not there. If you have chapped lips, leave right now! This product will stain any skin you have on your lips for at least three days and leave you with an unsightly red line going across your lip. In order to apply it at all, you have to shake it very hard and even then, it doesn't mix all the way.
SCENT
Twilight Venom has a gorgeous cinnamon scent that is only enjoyed when you open the container again- I really like that.
FUNCTIONALITY
This probably wins for least functional product. It is tiny- great size for on-the-go but I don't know anyone that would wear this everyday and reapply it. It definitely works for plumping, but this is a pretty unconventional product. I am really happy I own it because it is really fun to work with if you can get it to work, but this product requires a lot of expertise.
PACKAGING
Twilight Venom comes in red metal tube, product name and company written on it. It is tiny! It is about as thick as a pencil and about one third of the height. It is very cool since it is clear, you can see the separated color, but I wish it were at least slightly bigger. It comes with a doe-foot applicator which is actually very nice and it has some clear stars on the black rim, showing red when it is mixed, clear when it is not.
PRICE
Twilight Venom goes for $16 for .1 oz. A bit of a rip-off, right? Since you won't use it too often, it can last a long time, though.
FINAL OPINIONS
I love this concept to death! The plumping is great, the color is great, when they mix, no. I really wish they would have executed this better and made it more universally friendly. I love using this every once in a while for fun, but definitely not an everyday product. This is a wonderful product, IF you can get it to work with you.
