"DWTS" Semi Finals Show Stars Reaching Their Full Potential - Season 13, Episode 9
On week 8, Nancy Grace was finally sent home. There are only 3 left in the competition now including Rob Kardashian, Hope Solo, J.R. Martinez, and Ricki Lake. Week 9 began this week with the semi-finals, where each couple performed three dances for a chance to be in the finals.
Hope Solo & Maksim Chmerkovskiy - They danced the paso doble (21) and Argentine tango (24).
Problems: Hope had to get shots due to massive pain in her back. She said she was saving them for the Olympics.
Judges thoughts: Told her that she needs control to balance her fierceness.
J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff - Danced the paso doble, (23) and Argentine tango (27).
Problems: He has sprained his ankle twice now and is in a lot of pain. Judges thoughts: they told him to work on his posture. They called him strong and fearless.
Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke - The samba (28) and Argentine tango (27).
Judges comments: They called his dancing fluid and fantastic. Carrie Ann said you can't fake good dancing and that he is a good dancer.
Ricki Lake & Derek Hough - The samba (30) and Argentine tango (29).
Judges comments: Len Goodman said she just took a giant step into the finals. They thought the core strength has made all the difference in her dances.
The Cha Cha Cha Relay Scores and Totals:
4th place Hope and Maksim = total for the night 49
3rd place J.R. and Karina = 56 total points
2nd place Ricki and Derek = 67 total
1st place - Rob and Cheryl = 65
I think that Hope Solo will be going home tonight. Maybe she just doesn't need to win as bad as the others, which could be what is holding her back (just a a tad). At this point in the competition it's hard to see anyone go home, but there cannot be four winners. So it must be done.
