Wade and Union Are the New Power Couple
The ink has barely dried upon the divorce papers dissolving Dwyane Wade's marriage to ex-wife Siohvaughn before Mr. Wade has begun to step out on the town with actress Gabrielle Union. The scuttlebutt of the divorce reached a fever pitch with the superstar recently foregoing participation in a Miami Heat preseason game, in order to return to Chicago. My Windy City sources have confirmed the divorce proceedings as factual information.
The couple had been unofficially separated for over one year, and the distance closely paralleled the dissolution of former teammate, Shaquille O'Neal's marriage.
Clearly, Siohvaughn Funches entered into the situation with good intentions. The woman had become familiar with D. Wade as a high school classmate and dated him exclusively while attending Marquette University. The couple united as husband and wife during Wade's senior year at Marquette and has two children together. Siohvaughn may very well have starred as Mr. Wade's biggest cheerleader preceding Fame and Fortune's arrival at her husband's doorstep.
Perhaps that was part of the problem.
I must speculate that the majority of disagreements within the relationship were shut down with, 'Hey, I'm Dwyane Wade!' sentiment. Certainly, Mr. Wade's celebrity overwhelmed the household and his very own psyche. Siohvaughn was powerless to counter the inevitable imbalance and conceded. Wade's long time mate and bearer of his children could not match the allure of all-too-willing beauty queen celebrities, socialites, and fashionistas.
Enter Gabrielle Union.
Ms. Union has been linked to Minnesota Viking Darren Sharper, Derek Jeter, and Jason Kidd. [Does this woman go anywhere near regular schmucks that don't get paid to throw a ball into a hoop, or tackle people?]
I can't knock her hustle, as most relationships are doomed to fail without some semblance of balance. The Wade annulment detailed in this writing confirms the above as such.
Siouvaughn shall collect more than $10 million in payments, along with a lifetime of heartache.

I think Dwayne Wade is an intelligent man, obviously, and he can definitely do better than Gabrielle Union. He did not make a mistake of marrying his first, true love. His high school and college sweetheart deserved a ring, but the fortunate lifestyle can ruin anything, anyone, if not everything. This man married the woman he loved, and the life he loved corrupted it all. Now, he is behaving like white trash like all other rich white and Black people.
