DXG-305v 5-in-One Digital Video Camera

Camera Review

The DXG 3.0 megapixal digital video camera is on of the best digital cameras on the market for around $100.

This camera takes still shots, video, has an MP3 player, voice recorder and web camera all in one. Everything downloads easily to your computer since the DXG-305v acts as a mass storage device, like any USB flash drive. Once connected you simply cut and past video and images onto your hard drive.

The camera also comes with easy to install photo and video editing software so you can add music, shorten and cut together video, add effects and boarders, or text. You can then burn it to a DVD to give as a gift, or keep in your collection, or upload videos and sound to the internet.

The camera also connects to your television via an audio video cable so you can share pictures and video at your convinced.

I bought my camera because I wanted a digital device with better quality pictures, and video capabilities, but I did not want to spend $400. I found the DXG-305v for under $100.

I've found the camera to work best in bright areas as a video recorder. While still shots are good quality, and it takes decent macro pictures, it helps to buy a tripod that easily screws into the base of the camera.

The microphone picks up sound very well, catching even small peeps from several feet away. I was also pleased with the quality and speed of the web cam, though you should be in a well lit room during transmission.

The only problem I have had with this particular brand is that it does not do well in low light, sometimes loosing images all together. While the flash does help in close spaces it does not do much when outdoors. If you plan to take a lot of pictures during darker hours you may want to spend a little more money, however, this camera is perfect for events, outings with the kids.

With this camera I have taken film and still photos of the kids Easter egg hunting, our trips through the national forest, and the ocean surf. I have also taken candid stills of friends and family as they have fun at gatherings, or just goofing off. I have also used the macro ability to take pictures of items for my business. I am rarely displeased with the pictures, even if I do need practice steadying the camera.

  • This digital video camera has 5 abilities.
  • Small, compact, and fun to use.
  • Cheep in price, but not light on quality.
This camera acts like it's own storage device so you can just cut and paste everything to your PC.

Hello I have a DXG 305v and a red light keeps coming on and staying on and won't turn on so I had thought the batteries were dead so I changed them out but still won't power up just a green light comes on then turns red and stays on unless I pull the batteris out. If anyone is out there that knows what I can do to fix it that would be great. Thanks a bunch!
