Dylan Lauren, daughter of Ralph Lauren, owns Dylan's Candy Bar where she serves up sweet treats. Inspired by all of her goodies she launched Dylan's Candy Bar Re-Treat. Her bath and body line includes five products, Lip Saver, Candy Butter Cream, Ice Cream Sugar Scrub, Soda Pop Shower Gel and Body Smoothie Lotion. All of the products are available in four scents, Strawberry Licorice, Coconut Bon Bon, Birthday Cake Batter and Chocolate Cupcake. The collection is available at Dylan's Candy Bar and Sephora.
For $16 I purchased a 10 oz. bottle. The packaging is very cute and whimsical. A bright pink label wraps around the opaque plastic bottle. The picture of a pink frosted birthday cake with multicolored candy stars and candles are on the front. On the back there are Nutrition Facts for the lotion. But don't worry; with this treat you can live guilt free. Not only can you have your cake and eat it too but you can feel better knowing Dylan's Candy Bar Re-Treat Body Smoothie Lotion doesn't contain parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, mineral oil, propylene glycol or synthetic preservatives. Dylan really didn't leave any detail unnoticed.
Now that you know what the lotion doesn't contain it's time to find out what this lotion does have. The Birthday Cake Batter Lotion is packed with Vitamins A & E, Aloe Vera and Chamomile to nourish your skin. After putting a dollop of lotion in my hands then rubbing it in, my hands feel really moisturized. Initially they feel a little greasy but it quickly goes away leaving my hands feeling and smelling great.
Does the lotion really smell like cake batter? Yes, it does! Just pop open the flip-top cap and let your nose breathe in the sugary scent of freshly made cake batter. The butter, the sugar and the vanilla aroma is exactly like the real thing. Dylan really knows her treats.
Dylan's Candy Bar Re-Treat Body Smoothie Lotion Birthday Cake Batter was a winner for me. It's hard to find a good lotion but I have. Not only does this lotion make me smell deliciously sweet and make my hands soft but there's none of the bad stuff you find in most lotions. This line is sort of like the love child or Burt's Bees and Philosophy. If you are looking for a great lotion I definitely recommend trying this one. It may be a little more expensive than most brands but well worth it.
