Dynasty Warriors 3: Red Items

Red items in Dynasty Warriors Three are very helpful to help strengthen the player you are using and make it easier to complete a level. These items are different than blue items. Blue items can be dropped and found on any level in the game, and they are used to increase attack, defense, or musou, among other things. The red items help strength your player without raising their statistics. While you cannot see a physical change, like your hit points bar increasing, these will make your character better in different ways. You can only get these items under certain circumstances. They can be attained on any difficulty and using free or Musou mode. Please note that these are not walkthroughs on how to get these items. They may briefly state what level, but will mostly tell what each item is and what it does.

1. The Art of War: This item will allow the Imperial Seal, War God's Axe, and Armor to have a longer effect when you attain them. In order to get this item, you must defeat all the generals but Sun Quan when playing the Siege of He Fei Castle, using the Wei army.

2. Bodyguard Manual: This item will make your bodyguards more useful. This item will make them stronger and more powerful. Plus, this item will allow them to use special attacks when fighting. You must play Seige of He Fei Castle on the Wu Army side to get this item. You must kill Xu Zhu in order for it to appear.

3. Buckler: This item will prevent you from stumbling over when you are guarding. It will also prevent you from being knocked off balance. You must defeat Sun Quan in Battle of He Fei Castle on the Wu Army's side to get this item.

4. Defender: This item will allow you to have x2 defense when you are near death. In order to get this item, wait for your powerful officers to be killed on Wu Zhang Plains.

5. Fire Arrows: This item allows you to shoot arrows with fire. They add a nice amount of damage. You must kill Zhou Yu before the fire event on the Battle at Chi Bi to get this item.

6. Golden Harness: This item will prevent you from being dismounted when you are on a horse and shot by an arrow. On the level Tong Gate, you must fight the supply troop.

7. Hex Mark Saddle: This item allows you to start the game on a Hex Mark horse, which is the second best horse in the game. You must kill everyone but Liu Zheng in the level Cheng Du.

8. Imperial Saddle: This will allow you to ride any horse regardless of level. You must defeat a supply troop for this item.

9. Power Scroll: This item will prevent you from losing weapon deadlocks. However, you can still tie. You must defeat Gan Ning on the He Fei level.

10. Rare Hare Saddle: This item allows you to start the level on the best horse, a Red Hare. You must kill Lu Bu and the supply team on the Hu Lao Gate level.

11. Survival Guide: This item will multiple your attack by two when you are close to death. You must wait for the shooting star event on the Wu Zhang Plains level to get this item.

12. The Way of the Musou. The item will allow you to use true Musou regardless of your health. You must kill Xiahou Dun on Guan Yu's Escape to get this item.
