I searched the Internet and sale adds for options on computers and information. The E-machine kept coming up in all my searches. It had everything a student would need. The price wasn't off the wall. I think I paid around $400.00 for my little E-machine. My mother-in-law had a paid around $2000.00 for her computer and it had the same amount of memory and less media ports than my little E-machine.
I bought the T3025 model. It has A DVD drive, a CD-RW drive, the hard disc drive that was standard before Cd's, and several smaller drive ports for photo and memory sticks. There was the option of purchasing it with or without a monitor and printer.
In the time that I have had my little E-machine, I have searched the Internet to my hearts content and written several school and personal project on it, and saved and edited tons of pictures. I have had no problems with it, it was easy to put together, and compatible with so many accessories for computers, and has not slowed a bit. My mother-in-law's computer, on the other hand, has had to have several visits to computer shops, the last found several viruses and has slowed up a great deal. The guy at the computer repair shop cleaned it out of viruses but the computer of hers is still slow.
This Christmas I think that I will get my kids E-machines of their own. The cost for two of these wonderful little machines is still way less than one from most other computer companies. And I will no longer have to hear them fighting over the computer for Internet time of there own.
If I had to do it all over again I would still chose my E-machine. The difference in the price between the E-machine and any other brand was a down payment for a car, so for the price my mother-in-law payed for hers, I got an E-machine with the same memory and more media ports and a car! But don't just take my word for it, check out the facts on them and other computer companies yourself.
