EA NCAA March Madness 07 Releases New Downloadable Game Content
Selection Sunday Bracket Pack Allows Fans to Go Live with NCAA Tournament Updated Seedings and Rankings
For the first time ever, EA has created a Selection Sunday Bracket Pack that will feature a downloadable 65-team NCAA Tournament bracket, allowing Xbox 360 users to update NCAA March Madness 07 with the just-announced official Selection Sunday brackets, accurate tournament seedings and updated team ratings.
Fans can experience the entire NCAA Tournament and play through the virtual bracket with their favorite team. Gamers will play under the same conditions they will face throughout March Madness. Meaning all of the locations leading up to the Final Four and eventually the championship game. And it is all updated in real time so the experience is real. Or as real as it can be without being in the actual tournament.
Adding to the excitement, is that the Selection Sunday Bracket Pack will include the authentic Final Four court from the Georgia Dome. One team will be crowned NCAA Division I men' basketball national champion on April 2, 2007.
NCAA March Madness 07 developed a new ratings system for this years bracket, with some interesting picks for the final four. Only two of the number one seeded teams, defending NCAA champions the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina, make it to the semi-finals. Their respective opponents? Pittsburgh University going against Florida, and Texas A&M taking on the University of North Carolina.
No word on what happened to the University of Kansas or The Ohio State University. And no word on who won in the simulated version of March Madness 2007. I guess we will just have to buy the Selection Sunday Bracket Pack to find out. Or check out the March Madness site EA Games set up.
For those interested in taking their March Madness to the next level, there is even a web site just for the game. Log onto www.marchmadness07.com to view more info about the Selection Sunday Bracket Pack that is available now on Xbox Live Marketplace, see the results of the EA SPORTS NCAA Tournament simulation, and download a printable bracket to track all the tournament action.
