Eagle Eye

Another storyline based on the "big brother is watching' theory, but this one takes it to another level. It's plausible, but whether it's totally believable doesn't really matter. This movie takes us on a roller coaster ride with a mix of The Fugitive meets Indiana Jones.

Director DJ Caruso is back working with Shia Labeouf and Michael Chiklis in this well devised action movie. After a lot of TV work, including episodes of "The Shield" with Michael Chiklis and "Smallville", this is his first movie since his mystery flick, Disturbia, in which Shia Labeouf had the lead role.

"If you want to live you will obey" is the tagline to Eagle Eye and that describes the plot quite nicely.

Shia puts in another great acting performance along with co-star, Michelle Monaghan. Billy Bob Thornton and Michael Chiklis provide accomplished supporting roles.

A questionable act by the US Government to eliminate a 'probable' terrorist leader sets this movie in motion. Two strangers, Shia and Michelle, find themselves thrown together through a series of mysterious phone calls. These well orchestrated calls direct their every movement through a maze of dangerous situations in order to accomplish tasks that are unimaginable. Chiklis plays the worried Secretary of Defense whose National Security plans have gone awry, while Billy Bob is the dogged FBI agent tracking the pair down. As always, Billy Bob is a crusty, irritating individual that you just can't get enough of.

The ride slows down just long enough to catch your breath and then it takes off again. A 'sit on the edge of your seat' movie that keeps you entertained right to the end.
