By dawn's early light;
In the breath of early spring;
The music has begun;
In the breath of early spring;
The music has begun;
High in the tree tops;
The Northern Cardinal sings;
To woo his lady;
I hear the rhythm
Of a Woodpecker tapping;
On a trunk of wood;
Gentle coos I hear;
Pairs of Mourning Doves courting;
High upon the boughs;
A Robin whistles;
Puffs out his breast of bright red;
Ushers in the day

Very beautiful. Like the form (w e didn't even notice the "the" -- no grrrrr-ing necessary!)
Good Job Miss Lisa
Oops...I messed up the first verse...I forgot to take out the word "the" so the last line has six syllables instead of the intended 5....grrr!!!
I love nature. I wake up every morning to birds singing. It is part of the joy of owning rice finches. Great writing!
