Early Morning Rambling

It's early morning, yet i am still awake,
the sun is fast approaching, and the summer heat that bakes.
Wishing for a touch from the love of my life,
yet another day that i must face the loss of my wife.

The moon is still floating in the sky high above,
A few clouds are drifting showing the moon much love.
Still my thoughts a running of things i could have said
But I know it is too late, laying here alone in our bed.

Life is sometime joyous, and sometimes filled with pain,
just like our sky is sometimes sunny, but sometimes it rains
I can no longer face the world, without your smiling face,
Alone i drift through life, I have surely lost this race.

So here I lie, still trying hard to sleep,
But fighting with these thought
and dreams that take away my peace
Till life lets me go, and finally i shall sleep!
