These predictions for week one of the 2010 NFL season are being written on before preseason starts. I will update my handicapping of week one of the 2010 NFL season after the preseason. I will leave this version up to compare with what I think after any injuries, trades or holdouts change my outlook on who will win the games in week one.
Vikings at the Saints
If Favre plays he will be rusty and I think the Saints will win 28 to 21.
Raiders at the Titans
I really think the Oakland Raiders had a solid off season for once and the Titans didn't impress me much. Oakland upsets Tennessee 24 to 14 in week one of the 2010 NFL season.
Panthers at the Giants
Carolina whipped the Giants ass in their last game in the old stadium, and now play them in the first game at the new stadium. History repeats as the Panthers beat the overrated Giants 17 to 14.
Broncos at Jaguars
Tim Tebow comes rolling in as a week one starter and crushes the Jaguars! Ok not really, Jacksonville wins 28 to 10 no matter who the Broncos quarterback is.
Falcons at Steelers
Atlanta beats the Steelers 24 to 13 without Big Ben.
Dolphins at Bills
Miami knocks off Buffalo 31 to 17 in week one of the 2010 NFL season.
Browns at Bucs
I think the Bucs will have the better season than Cleveland but I see the Browns knocking off a young Bucs team in week one. Cleveland 28 Tampa Bay 20.
Bengals at Patriots
The Bengals looked good until the playoffs last season. New England just looked old and flat to me but my week one prediction is New England 24, Cincinnati 17.
Colts at Texans
Indy showed they can't win with just Manning when they got to the Super Bowl. Texas really looked good at times last year and I think they win at home 35 to 31.
Packers at the Eagles
Donovan McNabb is gone and it's Kevin Kolb's team now. Green Bay may have the best offense in the league in 2010. I think the Packers beat the Eagles 24 to 14 in week one of the 2010 NFL season.
49ers at Seahawks
San Francisco just may be my Super Bowl pick from the NFC. Seattle sucks and has a bad coach to boot. My week one NFL prediction is San Francisco 24 Seattle 7.
Cardinals at the Rams
Both teams will suck in 2010 but the Cardinals have a little more on offense. Arizona 17, St. Louis 3.
Ravens at the Jets
Baltimore is my Super Bowl pick for the AFC and the Jets are the pick of most other people. I am not sold on Mark Sanchez yet and I think Baltimore wins 13 to 7.
Chargers at Chiefs
Kansas City will be much better this year and I expect San Diego to be about the same as last year. Something in me smells week one upset with Thomas Jones as fresh as he will be for the Chiefs. Kansas City 28 San Diego 24.
Thanks for checking out my early version of week one NFL game predictions for the 2010 season. I will be updating this when preseason ends.
