If you live near Central North Raleigh, the closest location is the Lake Lynn Community Center off Ray Road. The voting there starts on Thursday October 23rd. If you need to vote earlier, the link mentioned above will provide you directions.

If you have not registered yet, you still have one last chance to register at the early voting sites across Wake County. You will need an acceptable form of identification to register. Common forms are a North Carolina driver's License, Social Security card or a passport. If these do not show your current address you may need a second document to show that you live in Wake County. This extra opportunity to register ends on November 1st. You will not be allowed to register if you wait until November 4th.

A complete list of acceptable identification forms is available on the first Wake County link at the end of this article.

Independent of which side you take in the election, it is important that you express yourself through the vote. Since we were attacked in 2001, our troops have been fighting and dying to give the people of Afghanistan and Iraq the right to self determination. We can do nothing less than express our support and gratitude for our troops by going to the polls this year. Max has had numerous family members, both men and women, fighting in the two wars and off the coast of Iran. They are Democrats, Republicans and Independents. They are also true Americans that have given their all so that we can vote this year in a safe America.

The Lake Lynn Community Center will be available for voting on the following days.

Thursday October 23rd from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday October 24th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
