Tuition is relatively cheap, $121.00 per credit hour for resident tuition. Those that reside within certain counties in Ohio such as Adams and Brown may be eligible to receive their resident tuition rates. Out of state, contiguous county rates are $156.00 per credit hour and non resident rates are $393.00 per credit hour. It costs nothing to apply, unless you download the application via the web and then you are charged a small non refundable fee.
Financial aid is available for both full and part time students who qualify. To determine eligibility, you must complete a FAFSA. This can be obtained at the government website, www.fafsa.org, or at the school. Please take note of deadlines for submission. In addition, MCTC offers scholarships to students that meet special requirements. More can be found at the schools website, http://www.maysville.kctcs.edu/ , this will take you to the homepage. There are several programs to choose from. They currently offer associate degrees in nursing (RN), business administration, early childhood education, general occupational/technical studies, medical assisting, and office systems technology. There are also two associate programs available for students who wish to transfer, these are the associate in arts and associates in science. MCTC offers numerous certificate and diploma programs. These may include but are not limited to practical nursing, welding, respiratory care, automotive, electrical, and construction. Not all campuses may offer the same programs.
MCTC has other campus and extension locations for those who do not live in the area. There are the Licking Valley and Rowan campuses, LV located in Cynthiana, Ky and Rowan in Morehead, Ky. To supplement, there are two extensions one in Paris, Ky. , the other in Mt. Sterling, Ky. Distance learning is also available in the form of web enhanced classes and classes solely on the web. To assist working students, many classes are offered at night as well.
Maysville Community and Technical College has partnerships with Lindsay Wilson College and Midway College so that it is possible for students to earn a bachelor's degree without leaving the area. The majority of credit hours transfer to nearby and some out of state colleges. Information about the transfer of credits can be found on the official website. The college is fully accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
