Symbols Mean a Lot You Know; The Big House and SUV Must Go

Vic Burrack
It turns and travels around the sun; a pattern for the ages till done.

Now with our arrival, some say this is our carrier for survival.

Our actions now count for more it seems, in an endless procession of future days.

Some notice her ways and worry so, can't we help; don't you know?

Make plans if you care, turn the lights off now; to show we dare.

Take control of what we can, after all; we are just man.

With actions or not; earth will survive, the question is: will we be alive?

Symbols mean a lot you know; the big house and SUV must go.

But we need possessions and money to thrive; said the voices of the industries so wise.

So groups of people with many thoughts, all line up for a planet that can be bought.

But how do we survive without our needs filled; say some fractions; what fits the ecological bill?

Do much or nothing the decision must be made, leave it to our future children; the bills will be paid.

Day after day and years go by; we ignore our world and make the children cry.

When breathing future air so foul, because we needed to drive another SUV mile.

Our Earth needs help so many say; but they keep their same actions day after day.

As waters rise; and temperatures climb, can't we say that it is time?

To care and dare to do our part, save the earth and let's be smart.

As our earth turns and travels around the sun, a pattern for the millennia till done.
